Well, this is it.. My new flatmate moves in on Sunday.. And i am having very mixed feelings!
Have been very happilyliving alone since old flatmate moved out in Jan. Freedom to come and go, stay up late, and, of course, see some of you lovely people here. The main drawback being the crucifying cost of living here alone..
So i decided to bite the bullet and get a flatmate again, but now the big day is finally confirmed, despite it only being for 2 months to start with, i'm having second thoughts..
Pro's
Its £600 a month that i'm not paying out- which is a BIIIG load of my mind and from my none too healthy bank balance..
Its actually sometimes nice to have someone else around to chat to.
It might be nice to actually have a man about the house again..
New flatmate is a harmless slightly quiet type, it might be nice to see if i can bring him out of his shell a little..
Cons
Big one here, it is going to make my AW time slightly trickier, Not sure how to explain my obsession with my pc, unexpected trips at strange times.. and of course it will make evening incalls and phone chat nigh on impossible. (so please guys, no showing up unannounced of an evening when you feel horny!!).. Potentially embarrassing, and may mean i dont get to see some of you! (boooo!)
I'll have to be extra tidy all the time
The flatmate in question hasnt lived away from home before, so i have no idea what will happen to the washing, washing up, cooking, cleaning....
So.. What do you think? Have i done the right thing? Can anyone suggest an alternative? Answers on a postcard please!!!
